Ilfracombe Market runs seasonally from May through August, with weekly Monday markets and selected special event dates including Easter and Jack in the Green. Set against the town’s distinctive green hillside backdrop, the market attracts a mix of local residents, returning visitors and holidaymakers. We carefully curate our trader mix to ensure variety, quality and a balanced customer experience.
Pitch fees are £25 for a standard 3m x 3m space and £35 for a 4m x 4m space, with larger frontages available where required. This is an outdoor market with no power supply, and traders must provide their own gazebo, tables and appropriate weights. All applications are reviewed prior to approval, and successful applicants will receive a payment link to secure their pitch.

The Watermouth Castle Artisan Market launches over Easter Weekend on Saturday 4 April 2026 and continues on the second Saturday of each month through to September.
Set out front of the distinctive grounds of Watermouth Castle, this curated monthly market is designed to showcase high-quality artisan producers, makers and food specialists in a premium heritage setting. The focus is on craftsmanship, authenticity and excellent stall presentation, creating a shopping experience that complements the character of the venue.
We welcome fresh local produce, farm foods, baked goods, artisan drinks, handmade crafts, homeware, artwork, textiles, handmade jewellery and thoughtfully made goods. Strong, cohesive stall presentation is expected, with clean and professional displays that reflect the premium setting.
Pitch fees remains affordable to support the local community £25 for a 3m x 3m space and £35 for a 4m x 4m space. During peak season, expected footfall ranges from approximately 200–600 visitors, depending on weather and holiday periods. All applications are reviewed to maintain a balanced and high-quality artisan mix.
• Launch: Saturday 4 April 2026 (Easter Weekend)
• Thereafter: Second Saturday of each month (April, May June, July & September; no August market)
• Pitch Fees: £25 (3m x 3m) | £35 (4m x 4m). A contribution from each paid pitch will be donated to a local charity chosen in partnership with Watermouth Castle.
